World Cafe – Low Carbon DietAugust 13, 1-3 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church on Stewart St. CLC’s Earth Justice Advocates committee is working with others in 7 other congregations and with other groups in town like Upgrade Athens, Rural Action and the Sierra Club to bring to Athens a WORLD CAFÉ around the theme of a Low Carbon Diet. A low-carbon diet where each one of us can follow a plan to lower the amount of carbon dioxide we dump into the atmosphere that contributes to “global warming” and “climate change.” Open to all ages An original play written and produced by our own Annie Haseley is featured. You won’t want to miss the story of a fairy who visits lands that are already being affected by global warming.
